About Skills 2000

In 1995, while Curt was the Microsoft Training and Certification Program Manager he announced a major training initiative called Skills 2000.  This program would create hope and opportunity for thousands of Canadians by helping them to launch new careers in information technology.  The program was built in co-operation with over 40 post secondary schools, Quantum EDP, Microsoft Press and Self Management Group. In 1997 Skills 2000 would be adopted by many of the other Microsoft offices worldwide.
